Corporate Matching Gift Programs

To encourage philanthropy and support their communities, many companies have programs through which they will “match” the charitable contributions made by their employees. Through corporate gift matching, your employer can multiply your gift to the Lark Theater, making it go further.

Check with your company’s Human Resources office to see if they offer gift matching. (If they don’t, you may want to ask your company to start one.) If your employer does offer this program, your Human Resources department should provide you with a matching gift form to send to the Lark along with your donation.

Gifts of Stock and Securities

The Lark Theater welcomes gifts of stock and securities. Please note that in order to receive an acknowledgment for a gift of stock or securities you must send a separate notification of the gift to the Lark. In most cases, gifts of stock or securities can be made through a simple transfer of assets between financial services firms. Often, a gift of stock brings the donor greater tax savings than a cash gift. You avoid paying capital gains taxes on the donated stock and receive a charitable deduction for its full fair market value. In-kind Donations
